  ​AquaCast products are used for hip spica casts at 9 of the top 10 pediatric hospitals (US News & World Report, 2020) in the United States. Hipster Pantaloons are made with waterproof ePTFE, a smooth, breathable membrane, facilitating the cleaning of urine and excrement from the skin. Residual moisture evaporates through the liner, keeping the skin healthier.  The use of a Hipster Pantaloon Liner, either with traditional padding or with waterproof padding, reduces the need for recasting, eliminating the costly expense of an additional round of anesthesia and a trip to the operating room.
