​There are multiple reimbursement codes for AquaCast Liner that may approved by private carriers.  Hospitals and clinics across the United States have success in billing carriers by following the steps listed in the Guide above. For more information, please contact your local representative or AquaCast Liner.

A second option that is gaining in popularity is for an individual patient to contact their insurance carrier to obtain reimbursement.  Your provider can provide helpful information on codes, etc.  Reimbursable codes are in the chart below.

Another popular approach is for hospitals and clinics to charge a nominal amount for waterproof padding.  Some facilities charge by cast type or cast size. Either way, paying for a waterproof cast is extremely cost effective and well worth the nominal investment.

It's much better to get a waterproof cast than a cast cover, for several reasons:

• For almost the same cost, you get a product that doesn't require taking on/off each and every time
• Cast covers are prone to tear, puncture, allowing water into the cast
• Cast covers don't allow you to wash hands
• Cast covers don't account for perspiration
